Understanding of the effects of preterm birth on early infant development and family functioning in the first year of life.
Welcome to the PĒPI Study website.
We hope to identify neonatal and postnatal strategies to help foster positive parent-infant emotional connection and better support pēpi/infant development and whānau/family wellbeing.
Your Participation
Your participation in this study will be used to help improve the care given to preterm infants and their families in the hospital and after they go home.
It will also tell us more about the early developmental (e.g., crying, sleeping, feeding, interacting) difficulties that some babies experience so we can better support them and their families in the future.
You will gain a better understanding of your baby and your connection with them, as well as have feedback on your baby’s development.
